Korhani Home designs rugs...so I'm not sure why they had a show at Toronto Fashion Week, but who cares! Look at the cute little pigs!!!!
Models were dressed in tartan, black, white and red rugs and carpets which were created by the Candian homewear label. Accessories included punk-inspired chains and enlarged safety pins...and the pigs!
Unsurprisingly, animal rights activists may raise questions about the welfare of the little critters, which may or may not come from entirely ethical sources - depending on your stance on the breeding of animals to deliberately alter their size.
The micro pet pigs, which cost around $1,000, are bred in New Zealand but come from suppliers in the U.S. who admit they are 'genetically tiny'.
However, this is not the first time that Korhani Home have used animals in their shows.
The label used fluffy rabbits in an Alice In Wonderland-inspired presentation in 2011.
Model companion: Animals have frequently been used for their publicity-spinning benefits. Lingerie brand Etam have incorporated candy-coloured poodles and had Karolina Kurkova carry a lamb in their presentations
I am feeling so much delightful to find your blog. This is great information about runway model. Really so much informative.
